NASSA-Caritas Philippines

NASSA-Caritas Philippines – is the humanitarian, development and advocacy arm of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). It implements programs on poverty alleviation, sustainable agriculture, empowerment of women and children, and ecology protection. It also implements programs on good governance, peace building, agrarian justice, microfinance, and emergency response. The institution empowers the Diocesan Social Action Centers and vulnerable communities of Philippine Society through humanitarian response towards community resilience; sustainable development programs and partnerships; and collective action/advocacy on key social, environmental and eco-political issues.

The Centre

The Center for Empowerment, Innovation, and Training on Renewable Energy (CentRE) serve as a hub for technology, social innovation, policy studies, and advocacy and community empowerment towards 100% renewable energy via a just transition in the Philippines. This not-for-profit association brings together RE advocates, manufacturers, and experts to meet the energy needs of Filipinos, especially the underserved and unserved communities, through a democratic and just transition – wherein communities and end-users live in dignity, have control of their energy future, and enjoy access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy.


The Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance – is a non-profit organization founded in 2010. It is composed of cell manufacturers, project developers, producers, installers, financiers, real estate developers involved in solar and individual members including those in the academic community interested in harnessing the power of solar energy. The alliance commits to building in-country capacity through trainings, seminars, conferences and exhibitions on solar energy technology; providing technical assistance to poor and off-grid communities without access to electricity and providing education to students and the academe to promote solar as a means for sustainable development. PSSEA also develops to include new players and technology providers that incorporate storage into existing solar systems solutions for distributed and grid-connected applications.
